Learn to crochet mini course

This crochet mini course is will run over three consecutive Saturdays and is a relaxed and friendly introduction to crochet, designed to guide you step by step from complete beginner to confident maker.

Starting right at the beginning, you’ll learn how to hold your hook and yarn comfortably, understand the basics, and master two essential stitches: single crochet and double crochet, with plenty of time to practise and build confidence at your own pace.

As the course continues, you’ll explore colour and creativity through the timeless granny square, learning how simple stitches and colour changes can be transformed into beautiful projects like blankets, cushions, or garments.

In the final session, you’ll step into the cute and creative world of amigurumi, discovering how to work in the round, shape your crochet using increases and decreases, stuff your work, and add simple finishing touches to bring a small toy to life.
